Old Speckled Hen
Reminds me of my long lost student days My, isn't Kate gushing ...... in a charming way Much better than that awful Julia Bradbury though
ubereglu
My, isn't Kate gushing ...... in a charming way Much better than that awful Julia Bradbury though Definitely! I really enjoyed it and never knew about the oily paint they had to put on the rams!
Lesley
We usually put a harness with a block of chalk on the ram - you change the colour of the chalk each week. A bit easier than the paint mix! I think a harness is what Adam used on his rams back at his own farm.
Lewis
I knew about the chalk blocks Lesley uses but not the oily paint - at the sheepy farm they don't use a marker, will ask why when I'm next there. They just put a few tups with the ewes and leave them to it for a few weeks, they do rotate them though so they lamb over a few weeks I liked the sleepy chuck - didn't know if she was put there on purpose though
emmab
love it-i'm hooked! i want a lamb!!! x
Seagazer
I only saw a little bit last night and that had tears welling up in my eyes, it was about the ewe with the triplets and the other one with a poor little lamb whose lungs hadn't developed. I was with Kate crying I'd be useless as a farmer.
Chickendoodle
I think I am a little bit in love with the farmer
The Dogmother
A friend was telling me about this this morniong, will have to see if I can catch it on watch again
fluffyknickers
I watched again last night and cried! I have to say i think its a brilliant programme and the presenters, both Kate and the red haired guy are fantastic and well chosen and natural. I also think what a wonderful family the Bevans are and it was so lovely when Kate cried and the farmer went and put his arm round her and then they said she had to do another delivery to get her confidence back. Also wondering where they got the red haired presenter man (sorry name gone - is it peter?) as he is a farmer AND a great natural presenter. Will watch tonight too. x
