Strictly 2010

I think my problem with Len's scoring is not that he necessarily under marked Kara but to give her a 6 and Ann 5 was ridiculous. Ann had a lift in hers so she would have automatically been deducted a point. So that means if Ann hadn't done a lift he would have given her a 6 - the same mark as he gave Kara.

Personally I think Craig's scores are the most accurate. When he gives a high score you know you have seen something special.

I think that really is my problem with Len - I don't know enough about the rules and regulations of dance to comment on whether it was a correct AS but to think that Kara could be marked 1 point off of Ann is just stupid. To watch Ann stomp around the floor and get 1 less than Kara who danced beautifully even if it wasn't technically an 'american smooth'.

Matt was brilliant last night and so was Kara - and although I thought Pamela was (and is) lively and excellent I don't think she deserved to be only one mark below Matt or was anything like as professional as Kara.

Scott is so erratic isn't he - his rumba was poor - clearly not a latin boy! Matt to win for me every time - he is a born dancer and consistently excellent. Shame it has taken him so long to get 10s - the marking is bizarre this year. Couldn't bear to watch Ann last night so left when she was on - she looke like Big Bird from Sesame Street!!

I agree, Widdy was truly dreadful, Anton deserves a medal for perseverance; Felicity seems to have hit a wall and isn't improving any more now, perhaps she just didn't click with this dance, but she seemed to have lost the plot half way through; Matt was excellent, Scott was good, but his cheeky chappy persona has started to grate now. Kara was wonderful. Pamela was very good again.

Did anyone else think that Patsy had been on the vino? She didn't stop wittering on inanely

Well, I can't believe that Widdy has stayed in and felicity has gone.. much as her gurning annoys me, Felicity is a far better dancer.

Patsy has definitely been on the cooking sherry, she is all over the place and trying to hold hands with everyone.

I agree with everything above - in fact I shouted at the television to tell Patsy to shut up on Saturday as she just went on and on and on.

So annoyed that Ann is still in- grrr! It was so sad to see Vincent get so emotional at the end. :(

I wouldnt want to be Scott or Matts wife the way those girls flirt etc - I'm sure many of them are after a rich man. Sorry to be "Ooops, word censored!"y but thats how I see it and lets face it many a relationships gone down the pan in "Strictly" = If Ann wins it will be farcical - shes entertaining but thats about it. Matt for me too - Patsy is getting on my wick and her eyes look more like Claudia Winkelmans every week. Does the woman (Claudia) need glasses or is it her ambismal black kohl - SO last year dar-ling. She irritates me to death - rant over.

Len always seems to get very grouchy at about this time in the competition - I think it is because he is also doing the US show and flying to and fro twice a week (I know Bruno also does it but he doesn't seem to get quite so miserable).

I don't particularly object to him criticising Kara's AS as he is a very traditional ballroom judge and has always heavily penalised contestants who he thinks have broken the rules but there is no need to be quite so rude about it.

I also think that Craig is the best judge and if I was competing he would be the one I would want a high mark from.

Matt or Pamela to win !

I agree about Len - it did rather seem that he had been on the grumpy pills. I take his point about Kara's dance not conforming to the AS rules, but then in what way did Ann's dance resemble a samba? So I don't get why she only got 1 point less than Kara, whose dance was excellent. Oh and didn't Ann's routine include a lift, which it shouldn't have?

I also think that Craig is the best/most accurate judge. It makes me cross the way he gets boo-ed all the time (I think I have said this before) as his comments are actually intended to help the celebrities improve. It might seem a bit miserable and nit-picky but he does give praise when mistakes have been worked on in the following weeks.

I am totally fed up of Ann now, can't bear to watch her any more. I'm still hoping for Matt, Kara and Scott in the final although I think Pamela is definitely still a contender.

I'm having a hell of a time at the moment, so much rubbish going on, only strictly is keeping me sane.

Matt was amazing - I think it's so rare for the males to samba well and he really did the samba rolls well. But I can agree with the touchy feeliness- there's bonding with your partner, and then there's fondling him in front of the millions including his wife... you'd have to be pretty stunning to compete with Aliona on a physical level, I am so jealous of her figure.

Pamela I love, but I don't think she deserved a ten - she was so frantic, her toes were awful at times, her neck was squat... ohh picky picky callychook, I think I'm in love with Craig too much!

I can see Len's reasoning with the marking - but if he was going to clamp down this week, he should have done so with every singel couple, not just one scapegoat pair.

Glad Felicity's gone - I love her as a person, but her dancing was rigid and I had grown bored of seeing her dragged around the floor by the ever lovely Vincent.

Can't agree more about Patsy - think she's been down Flamingo's bar necking vodkas before she went on stage...

me too, I have found all the caressing a bit over the top this series.. what was Aliona doing stroking Matt's neck on camera? He's a married man.

I'm no prude, but it's unnecessary.

Exactly what I thought - I would be spitting feathers if I was his wife. It seems such a 'personal' thing to do, perhaps even more than close up dancing in some ways. :?

I couldn't agree more. Of course they have to be physically close when dancing together, and I am sure no one would deny them a hug or peck on the cheek after their dance or when celebrating the scoring, but that is rather overstepping the boundary in my view.

If I was Mrs Baker (if only! ) I would be sat in for every minute of every rehearsal through to the end of the series!

i just find the way the female dancers act all simpering, carerssing and giggling puke inducing (there is no smillie with a bucket or 2 fingers stuck down ones throat) Aliona might be pretty but that hair colour makes her look like she had an argument with a bottle of red food couloring. To me it strikes as "I want a rich hubbie and I dont care who I trample on to get it" I agreed felicity was a bit OTT but I never liked her in the Good life - too prissy and girly. Otherwise I enjoy the programme.

I prefer to see Felicity's and Vincents last dance as a sort of maternal moment from Felicity - trying to comfort a little crying boy Vincent. I didn't think it was a 'sexual' thing. Otherwise I'd have to vomit.

I think I spend too much time thinking about this programme - it must be difficult for everyone who takes part and who dances and holds someone all day long, not to get an attachment to them. I suppose I would just hope that the professionals wouldn't abuse that position. The whole teacher/student thing. If I were Mrs Baker I'd get Aliona to teach me her part then take part with Matt each week.

Matt to win, Kara second, Pamela third and Scott fourth.

Pamela was on Woman's Hour the other day saying very sensible things about the whole Strictly partnership thing - she said it is impossible not to fall a little bit in love with your partner due to the fact that you spend all day every day having their undivided attention (just like in married life eh!?) and very close physically and that it would be easy to become swept up in that and confuse it with love if you were not mature/ professional. I am sure some of the younger ones (like lovely Kara) could find themselves utterly overwhelmed by those feelings but hope that Matt for one knows the difference.

Their husbands and wives must be used to them being adored by people and having folk fling themselves at them. I couldn't do it but guess it comes with the territory of being wed to a famous person. :?
