Anyone else had any Sales bargains?

Recommended Posts

Bought my daughter, Ellin, a pretty pink party skirt and a very pretty Joules dress...both half price John Lewis...definitely wouldn't pay full price for it although she will get at least 2/3 years wear out of it as dresses turn into tunic tops with jeans/leggings :)

Boots crackers, wrapping paper and gift sets all half price...great Birthday presents :D

We took the boys to spend their christmas and birthday money - a grand total of £120 between them! Our local toy paradise had 20% off everything so spent the equivalent of £150 on train track and trains for their Tomy and Hornby train sets! Two very happy little boys now!

OH bought a coffee maker today for £25, reduced from £50. He also bought some sort of drill :? for £50, reduced from £180.

I got some trays of Asda Extra Special pigs in blankets for 20 pence reduced from £2.50  The use by date was today so they have gone in the freezer. They will be used for suppers with mash, veg and gravy.

I couldn't see anything in the sales that I actually need. I hate clothes shopping anyway so I am saving my money until I see something I really like.

A le creuset casserole the size I wanted much reduced on Amazon (weird mix of prices/sizes though I was lucky the size/colour etc I wanted was a good bargain but many weren't). However I realised last night the old pyrex dishes I was replacing are still needed for crumbles :?

Went shopping today, most of what I bought wasn't in the sale but I did get a nice sweatshirt in Next for £12 instead of £28, a couple of scarves in Accessorize fo half price each, and a lovely cardigan in monsoon for £27.50 instead of £55 :) So a few bargains, better than I expected as I had looked on-line and hadn't seen anything.

I HATE the sales :evil::evil::evil:

I spent 20mins today in the M&S returns queue, taking back a top my SIL bought for my Husband, which she said was from M&S,but it turns out it was from Debenhams  .

Got to Debenhams, fed up and worn out,and they would only swap it there and then, rather than give a credit note. I did find him a super Mantaray jacket reduced from £76 to £40, so nabbed that.

Got home to find it was a large on an extra large hanger,so I have to go back again now.

Debenhams very unhelpful on the phone...won't put the correct size by as it is in the sale, and won't help in any other way.

Now, that's useless of them Sarah.

I was hoping to get some of the joules body/kitchen range on sale in Boots, but unfortunately they've sold out. Although I did go to Street yesterday and managed to get a new pair of cords from White Stuff for only £15, reduced from £45. Very pleased with them as they're just what I wanted.

Two pairs of daisy roots that make me smile every time I look at them/wear them! :D

The Timberland boots are from Jones and the most comfy pair of new footwear I have ever owned, and the Crocs came from the Brighton Croc shop, and i've been after a pair of furry lined indoor crocs for ever (been using very tatty unlined grey pair which belonged to my DS a hundred years ago!)

Even better, both were greatly reduced in the sale :D

I love those boots, Sadietoo, very 8)

Went into Brum this morning and again failed to spend £50 M&S vouchers, £20 House of Fraser vouchers and £16.53 left of Argos vouchers :wall:

However, popped into Primani, and bought two pairs of their lovely good quality jeggings, which are real denim, with back pockets and only £8 a pair so not in the sale. Then went to local shops this afternoon and picked up a lovely M&S velvet long sleeved top, still with tags on, in the local charity shop half price sale, £2 :D

Have spent my lovetoshop voucher I got for Christmas....

Sebastian Faulks "Birdsong" and a picasso calendar from Waterstones, I even got my waterstones points too! Managed to find a half price joules bath and body set in boots, but decided against buying it was the same as my lovely one I got for Christmas from my sister, just the other colourway.

BarbaraJ I feel exactly the same way about sales as you. I think I'm probably not sufficiently interested in clothes shopping to get excited about fighting through rails of tat, all muddled up in sizes and no changing rooms open

The only sales purchase I have treated myself to is a bird feeder stand with patio stand from Flyte so Fancy, was last one left so lots of £££ off  Been meaning to get bird feeders sorted out in the garden for ages, I love my hens to bits but would love to see more of a variety of bird species in the garden!

I had the opposite of a bargain  .

Had a few things in my Amazon basket since before Xmas as they weren't surprises and I thought they probably wouldn't arrive in time anyway.

Ordered them a few days ago and they've all arrived. I noticed today that the weather station I bought for myself has gone down to half the price I paid  .

On the plus side, I got YS a jacket in the sales reduced to £30 from £60 :D .

I used to love a good sale, but in my old age I can't bear people and crowds, I get to grumpy, so do it all on line! I got some nice stuff from Boden, my YS bought a ZHu hamster battle arena for £12 down from £30 at boots, I bought shoes from Clarks and a Christmas tree from Next! I also got a fun shade and bag from Omlet, still hoping for more! Going to have a look at Lakeland if anything is left.
