We got ours yesterday ......two copies to the same address, but different barcodes......why ?....DH was so happy to see them, he sat in the corner of the sofa huffing & puffing for at least half an hour ......then proceeded to right notes on how to calculate square roots all over one of the envelopes

 

Do we have to fill in both copies do you think as they are different codes? That'll make him a very happy bunny

Oh dear, YS's teacher was telling the class about the last census and people listing their religion as Jedi! YS now wants this listed for his religion, ES apparently wants nudist put down as his. I don't think they're taking it seriously

Which is why I wanted to know what it was.

I heard on the evening news that it was for the Welsh forms where I presumed the question wasn't blank.

We got ours yesterday but I suddenly thought that my father's house would get one. He died six weeks ago and the house is empty. Either my sister or I are likely to go to the house (a long way from both of us) but what should we do with the form, put it back in the post or destroy it?

Last time I put some long line about being a conservationist and before that Pagan. My brother is apparently a Jedi Knight. OH's cousin gets so ratty about these things - how can anyone research their family tree in future with this nonsense? OH said he doesn't give a rats bottom because they want to know how much our earnings are and how much tax - if they want to know that, why don't they just get in touch with the tax office? It is so intrusive so a little bit of rebellion is on the cards. I said I don't care because I'll be dead in a hundred years and I'm sure there will also be records to advise that we all had a bit of fun filling in those parts. It will show our future descendants that we all had a sense of humour. And I am English.
