I will be sky plussing the do as i have a rheumy hosp appointment, hoping the clinic is quiet so i can be seen quickly.

( in my dreams i bet it will be really busy) I will catch up on the day later and enjoy a few nibbles. Hope you all have a fab day xx

What's the £10 for then? bunting I suppose you'd think everyone would muck in and bring something to share.

 

I'm working so hoping my patients don't want to see me and if they do will let me sit and watch with them. Trouble is so many old folk still have their gas fires full on!! Phew

I am not that interested but I will watch because Prince William is an Aston Villa fan.. :lol::lol:

 

Will probably be having cream teas in the garden. Weather permitting...

I'm with you Beach Chick!!! Our road got together and decided to have a street party. The road is closed from 11-11pm. we have all joined in and are making food etc. There is a big barbeque and a treasure hunt and other games etc. We start with a balloon race follwed by 'Fizz at Five' and also have a 'cutting of the cake' later on. The road has a very mixed age range from 84 downwards - different houses have got together to organise different bits- like a history of the road, guess whose wedding phot and what year type stuff.. I am amazed by the cameraderie we seem to have engendered along the way. We too have a £10 levy - to cover food, some drinks, plates,cups etc, some 'fun' for the kids. We had to apply for permission and do the risk assessments etc.

I am looking forward to meeting some of the people who live on my road yet I do not know and hoping for some good weather- at least no rain. I think it has had a positive effect here without having to be ardent royalists- s bit of good community spirit never hurt, so fingers crossed. I will try to post some photos next week.

I'm really looking forward to it the bunting will go up tomorrow. I've booked my seat on the sofa will take THE CONTROL its mine for the day (doesn't happen often). Get my crochet out sit back and watch - I can't wait to see her dress - I think simple and understated; the flowers or forest as the paper seem to suggest. No one does pomp like we do - it will be a day to remember. And it has to be the BBC.

I'm too young to have seen any of the previous royal weddings (except for Charles and Camilla, but that doesn't really count, does it? :lol: ) so I'll definitely be watching. I won't be slavishly glued to the TV all day, but will potter around and do a few other jobs, but I definitely want to see the ceremony... and the dress! No street party here, but as there's only 3 houses in our street, it wouldn't exactly be much of a party!

Depends on the weather as to what we'll be up to. I think it will be nice for the kids to see some of the pomp and ceremony, and we'll probably have the TV on for the actual wedding rather than the flannel beforehand.

 

If the weather is ok, I want to get down to the allotment in the morning!

My DD is home tomorrow after an 8 month stint at uni in Bordeaux, and some friends are coming round too, so we will be having champagne, watching the telly, then lunch.....

 

I will be putting up bunting, but it won't be the union flag...our friends are Irish !

My bunting will be going up later today :D I'll be watching it all on the telly from early tomorrow. My five year old asked if I'd been invited :lol: She thought that the fact Mr Griffins youngest brother is the spitting image of Prince William might've increased our chances of an invite :lol:

 

Asda will shortly be delivering everything we need for our tea party tomorrow, including Pimms :dance: Cucumber sandwiches, homemade coronation chicken, and I'm baking some scones for a cream tea too. I can't wait :dance:

We have decided to very British and have afternoon tea (crustless sandwiches, cupcakes, individual miniature victoria sponge and tiffin), complete with union jack cake cases and bunting. Hopefully we can turn it into a garden party round the chiminea and then good old HM fish and chips in the evening.

 

Looking forward to watching the wedding and DD (9) seeing a proper princess in the making. :D

Working hard. I have uni exams in less than three weeks. The tv radio and internet will be all unplugged i've had enough of this wedding already i'm very happy that they are getting married etc but to me it's just inconvenient because they've shut the uni library.

Just had a very giggly, excited phone call from DD who has met her uni friend in London. They are mapping out where they want to be tomorrow and she's just told me in a very high pitched voice that they've met someone who has just shaken hands with Prince William and Harry outside Clarence House. :wink::lol::roll: Oh my goodness my DD is at feverpitch.

 

They are now going to be getting a ridiculously early train up to London tomorrow. I don't think they quite realise how many people will be there tomorrow. Apparently there are Pimms tents set up in Trafalgar Square - yummy. :D

I'm up at 5 to take the parentals to New St station so they can get the train down to London, back to sleep for a couple hours, then to a friends to watch it all :D

We've bought everything for a BBQ and party so should be good!

 

Te$co had no bread (or bagels) left earlier and they're open 24hrs tonight and tomorrow? :roll:

Saw a t-shirt in there which said "Should have been me!" :lol:
