Chortle Chook
Let's hear it from all you cockerel owners. Are your boys beautiful? My Dill's arrival was not planned but I've now had him for a year and he has added so much to my little flock. Some people say he is stunning. I think he is a little odd looking and is certainly not the perfect Silkie cockerel but he makes up for any shortcomings with bags of personality. This is Dill Do lets hear about and see your cockerels.

percy049
I see what you mean by not being the perfect Silkie.... hes got Silkie feathers but has got a red face!
surfer_chicken
He looks better than a traditional silkie I might have to pop round and "borrow" him...
Chortle Chook
I always think he looks a bit apoplectic but he is a really gentle boy. I'm prepared to be however at the sight of other people's boys

Jools
Dill is a very handsome lad!! The boys do add another dimension to chicken keeping - I couldn't imagine being without at least one. My avatar is Tweety, my now deceased Silkie cross and a very handsome lad he was too
fluffy chick
I would love a boy, if only so I could call him Kelloggs! I love the colours of your silkie boy. A little
Chortle Chook
Many thanks everyone. I went and told Dill that you all said he is a handsome chappy and I've promissed him I won't call him 'odd looking' any more Tweety looks handsome too. Perhaps Dill is also a Silkie cross. I' d like to always have a cockerel, though hopefully one day I'll have one that has Dill's manners but looks a bit more like a Kellogs boy. atsw
.... so, this is my handsome chap, Liquorish. He's now 3 years old, but these picture were taken when he was about a year old. As I said, he's three now and he became a Daddy earlier this year! This is one of his off-spring cockerels. I think he'll grow up to be every bit as good looking as his Dad! Plum
What a lot of fabulous fellas. Poor Mr Kipling's lost his legs but his feathers are wonderful If I was a chicken it's Norris I would snuggle up to
Groovychook
If I was a chicken it's Norris I would snuggle up to I'll pass on your compliments Plum and hope that he'll manage to keep his feathery feet on the ground! He is very cuddly... he lets me give him a squeeze every now and then without complaint. I'm hoping it's not something he's going to grow out of! I have to admit though, that Emma's Spongebob was my first love... ahhhhh, Spongebob.....
atsw
Can't claim this as one of my own, but met this chap at Chatsworth House (Derbyshire) when we were on holiday there in 2006. It was just after we'd got our very first chickens at home. He was enormous, but quite magnificent. Andrew
craftyhunnypie
The Mighty Spongebob - is a little old man now. A great grandad too, with children all over the U.K & Channel Isles! Some of his children in Scarborough / Whitby, even met the queen! Spongebob was my first ever cockerel. He is a feisty, naughty boy - jumps at you. But I love him to bits. The others are as soppy as hell. Bingo jumps on my hubby's hand to be picked up. Boon is the big big Wuss. Scooter the hooter is the gentleman. Mr. Kipling does have legs, but is teapot shaped! Chortle Chook
These guys are all just stunning If I was a girly chook I'd have difficutly staying faithful No wonder cockerels make such a song and a dance when it comes to keeping others at bay. What breed is Albion, Redwing. I love his tail?

He's not mine, he's just come from Tasha to visit for a few weeks - hopefully will have some babies with my girls soon Has been good as gold and really quiet since he's been here though so am tempted to see if any of his sons are quiet and see if they can stay Won't ask Grumps just yet though
