Cinnamon
Cosmetics To go also did a fab Champagne bath bomb, which I was quite addicted to. I miss Bath & Body Works too.....still buy their stuff on eBay,especially the pocketbacs, which are great for work. I used to love the Body Shop milk bath powder in the little sack too. Poached
Hi Guys I miss the wild berry smints that have now been discontinued, they were the little box's of triangular sweets which would freshen your breath. I looked online but can only buy them in boxes of 8 in which would have 24 little boxes in for an extortionate price

Lesley
Cosmetics to Go also did Smaragadine.......I've not found anything remotely close to it. It was great at getting rid of the chlorine smell after swimming. My grand-daughter introduced me to www.chocolatebutton.co.uk yesterday........lots of retro sweeties on there... pips_pekins
My grandmother used to collect me from school every Friday and she always used to get me a bottle of Cresta. It was a pastel coloured drink. The advert had a bear wearing sunglasses who said 'It's frothy man!' I loved it! Also, miss Lush I Should Coco soap. AnnieP
I miss Dentyne fire. (You can still buy it at extortionate prices from Amazon, of all places, but I try to resist) and Root beer from Mcdonalds.
Egluntyne
Ooh yes, I used to like root beer. It tasted of Germolene. Or at least, it tasted the way Germolene smells.
jlo
My mother is distraught that she can't get Oxo Gravy Granules any more. I used to like getting in those pains au chocolat that come in a tube that you would pop and then bake. My kids loved them and they were handy to have around. You can still get the croissants in supermarkets but haven't seen the choccy ones for a while!
Cinnamon
I also remember little frozen cylinders of concentrated orange juice.....they were fab!
Ms Marple
I love this thread -thank you so many new places to spend my stash If only!!
craftyhunnypie
I remember Moondust ( sherbert crystals) & Rise & shine ( instant orange juice). I also used to like some strange candy bars that had the texture of a meringue / crunchie bar in Strawberry & other flavours & were wrapped in a thin chocolate. God knows what they were called. Does anyone remember E.T biscuits ( like bright coloured custard creams), oh & Trello bars? Trello's were pink & white mashmallow wrapped in a thin chocolate. I also miss the caramel & mallow eggs at Easter. Mmm mmm mmmm. Emma.x
The Dogmother
Does anyone else remember (about 40 years ago) sorbets that came in orange shaped and sized plastic with a wee round lid that came off? We used to finish the sorbet and then make our own in the containers.
Cinnamon
I used to love a milky foamy thing that came sandwiched between 2 soft chocolate spongy layers - it may have been by Kinder.
Valkyrie
Oh I remember the Cresta polar bear!!! When I was little you could get stuff called "Cremola Foam" (may have been spelt creamola foam?) and it was like an orangey vitamin C drink - I think. It disappeared when I was around 9 or 10 - definitely long before my brother arrived. I liked it better than Haliborange tablets. It used to come in a tin and you'd just have a teaspoon stirred into water and it would fizz up a bit. Much nicer than those little bitter orange pills!! Chocolate Peppermint Nesquik was yum. Delrosa rose hip syrup - how lovely was that! Then we have the things that you hope are discontinued - Friars Balsam. My mum made me take it on a teaspoon with sugar when I had bad coughs. I found out some time ago that it was never supposed to be ingested - MY MOTHER TRIED TO POISON ME!!!
Olly
That's made me laugh - you're right, Friar's Balsam was meant to be used in hot water as an inhalation, not to be taken! I too remember Pink Panther bars. *sigh*
The Dogmother
Rise & Shine orange 'juice', made up form a sort of sugar-type concentrate... ghastly and very sweet.
ClaireG
We used to have a powdered orange juice that was pretty foul. Think it was called Aapeal.
gongladosh
Vanilla coke - where'd that go? http://www.cybercandy.co.uk/aaasmt/index.php/url_pmet3/xlc_3435/xdbc_vanilla%20coke/dbtc_1/pic_1/add_custsearch/stc_0/scope_short#3435 Careful how you type that. A few years ago at work, I mistyped it... Cybercandy.co.uk is a web site selling sweets from around the world. A site with the same name and a certain different domain however, is not. Valkyrie
I suppose it would make you want to reach for the choccy to get over the shock!!
whoopsie
I miss Cosmetics To Go - all their products were fab and better than lush IMO - I remember when we used to order our parcel of stuff - it was so exciting we all used to gather round to see what they sent - as sometimes they added little surprises! All the packaging was recyclable long before other companies thought of it. Occasionally Lush bring something back but the Champagne bath bomb, Violet Knights and Damp Squids have so far eluded me. Sometimes you can get some old stuff via the Lush Forum but it's limited and expensive. EVERY shade of lipstick that I decide I like seems to get discontinued - I think i'm jinxed! John Frieda Sheer Blonde 'Spotlight'. They still do one for brunettes and redheads - it's just us blondes who dip out. i wrote to John Frieda and they just suggested I bought something else!!!!! (I do - a Boots Botanics one now but it's not as good). Even Sainsburys seem to have stopped doing their 'clean home' washing up liquid. Most annoying as I don't like Ecover as much (and it's a LOT more expensive). Grrrrr. I could go on. Like I said i'm jinxed.
Cinnamon
Violet Knights .............. I LOVED that too
whoopsie
There was 'Knights in white chocolate' soap too. I never did get to try that one
squiffs
I guess CtG don't trade like they used to because they learnt a valuable lesson once they went bankrupt - that's why so many lines get discontinued after short stints in the shop - because they stock based on demand rather than ever increasing the amount of products they need to source ingredients for to manufacture
