Space Chick
And I thought defrosting and refilling 6 drinkers was bad enough Redwing...you never cease to amaze me and make me laugh.... I suspect we need an increase to the current chook number as I suspect it may be a little more than 125 now
Purplemaniacs
That is a huge number How much food do you use per day? Chrissie
WitchHazel
Blimey. We deal with 3 drinkers and 3 feeders on the allotment (plus 2 feeders and 2 drinkers at home) and that is more than enough work on these icy mornings. I can't imagine 111. TAJ
The funny thing is last week when I was having to do all the water defrosting, etc for my 20 chickens the first thought that came into my mind was how does Redwing cope in this weather - I almost p'md to ask! and now we all know. Redwing
The icy weather has been a challenge yes nearly all of the chooks are checked twice daily too even though we both work full time - why the snow couldn't have come while I was unemployed I do not know SC the total is about right but I have 13 chooks here that aren't mine at the moment too For those that asked, we use a lot of feed, it works out around £5 a day to feed the outside animals and birds (so cats and dogs excluded) There might be 111 in use but anyone that's ever been here will say that there probably are as many again awaiting washing up at any time - I may count them all up one day!
