The poor man has been found dead. He was brave and tried to cope with his injuries but it was a lot to deal with. I was impressed that he tried to create something good from his attack when he launched the Blue Lamp Foundation. If you don't know of it, it is a means of raising money for emergency services staff who have been injured at work. I think the first person helped was an ambulance man whose legs were shattered and the money went towards adapting his home.

His family and his friends have had an awful time.

A complete tragedy, it is so heartbreaking news. I heard a radio interview with him and he said that he could cope with the shooting but couldn't cope with the blindness.

I saw that David Rathband's daughter carried the Olympic Torch blindfolded in memory of her father this week. What a lovely but horribly sad thing to have done.
