We had a lovely day yesterday but I was at work. No work today, a load of washing to peg out and it's raining Drizzle at the moment but heavy rain is forecast.......

It got quite muggy last night and hasn't lifted this morning; 17deg, sun and cloud, breezy, very humid. I understand that we're forecast storms.

Apparently there is a huge intense thunderstorm coming down the midlands towards Oxfordshire. Lots of lightening, the map on met office site looks impressive.

It is stiflingly muggy here We are forecast thundery showers, ED is camping at a waterpark about 10 miles away and it was wet enough there when they arrived on Tuesday, they don't need any more rain.

it past through here about an hour ago got so dark most of the mob went to bed and it was dark enough to acctivate the out door PIR controlled light

I wonder if it is above us then, I was hoping for a bit of clearer air, even if it does make ED a bit muddy. oooo no it's ok I just heard some thunder rumbling, I love a good storm.

Our Group H&S department at head office has just issued a severe weather warning for the Midlands area; lots of our staff drive out to see clients so need to be aware.

Rang MIL in Cheltenham at around noon and there was thunder rumbling in the background. She said they'd had a heavy downpour, as had my friend in Worcester.

It's been Hot and sunny here this morning but cloudier for the past hour. No sign of rain yet though and I bet we don't get a storm

Well, it went dark but nothing happened. Wonder if we've been passed by....?

It has been scorching hot today and sunny - I even managed to bath old Doris knowing she would dry quickly in the sunshine. Poor old chicken doesn't clean herself very well any more and had a filthy bottom, she's 6 years old and I suspect on her last legs.

 

It has come over a bit grey in the last half an hour and the air is very heavy so I guess rain might be on its way...preferably after I've been out to pick the kids up though!

It's still very hot and sticky here with lots of cloud and 58% humidity.

It pretty much passed us by too, we had a few loud rumbles then a shower for about 10 minutes then back to hot and sticky, it has been quite sunny too. I have tried loads of sheets today.

 

ED popped in to collect a couple of bits earlier and they had a thunder storm whilst cooking their breakfast outside this morning and have water coming up through the bottom of their tent, but she looked happy and relaxed if a little grubby.

Very hot here today too,but the wind has now picked up & its lovely & cooling.

Sitting in the garden is bliss,whereas it was hellish at 2pm

Came back from Italy at the weekend where the temperature reached 47 degrees one day....it's the first day I've felt warm

Lovely evening now, 20deg, windy with a clear sky and black clouds racing past but none are stopping. I expect that it will storm when we are trying to sleep tonight

 

Wasn't too bad at work with all the windows open but my house is lovely and cool even in the hottest weather... and the coldest

I have just seen the News on telly and the floods in Shropshire and elsewhere look terrible.

So much water everywhere and one of the biggest bits of lightning on film I have ever seen.

I hope everybody is ok.

14deg here this morning and rain. The clouds have lifted though and it's sunny but windy now.

16 degrees here and we have had sunshine and dark clouds and it is breezy. Sounds like we did well not to get the storms, some of the pictures on the news of the Midlands and Tyneside are shocking.

It's cloudy and breezy this morning and the heat from yesterday has gone.

Still feels quite warm though.
