chrisnrob
I've joined the group now too (was already on Facebook). There's also a group called 'I Want an Eglu' which a joined a few months back. I suppose I should leave that one now though! Rob

Gallina
I would recommend Googlemail very strongly to anyone who wants to have a spare email account for registering for such sites. They seem to have a way of dealing with spam, and it's a great account to have, as they give you such a massive amount of space you would never fill it. If anyone wants an invitation to have a Googlemail account, PM me; but you will have to give me your proper email address so that Google can send you the invitation on my behalf. I can't quite get the hang of Facebook. I do belong to a group already. Can you belong to lots of groups, or do they all network? And I keep getting invitations from people I have never heard of asking me to join their group. Do they think I am someone else, or is there some competition going on to get the biggest group possible? I don't put anything on to Facebook, but love looking at other people's stuff. Students put too much information and compromising photographs on Facebook: those who end up as MPs will live to regret it....

You can belong to as many different groups as you want and you don't have to belong to a network - I think networks are more like regions. I agree about some of the photos - they are a bit risque. I have been surprised by the amount of info people are willing to share as well, but I think that is generally the teenagers! I think some people think that the more 'friends' they have the more popular they will seem, but it doesn't quite work like that does it! I was discussing the bit about invites with my friend yesterday. You can send an email to everyone in your address book I think, so if you have had a vague contact with someone in the past they may just invite via their address book. Those are the ones that you choose to ignore. Anyway, please "Ooops, word censored!"ody feel obliged to join .... I am on 2 weeks hols at the moment and you know how it is ... ooh what shall I do, I know....! I must now step away from the PC and play with the menagerie.... The Dogmother
It's a good idea Claire. I did register a while ago when a firend sent me one of those links, but I ended up with some weirdo 'stalking' me so I un-registered myself and reported them. Thanks for thinking of me, but I shan't register again.

Cate in NZ
Grrrr, well that's a morning wasted Found my sisters, my sister's partner, my next door neighbour, an ex boyfriend and my best friends daughter. But I can't find my own daughter I've searched every concievable variation of her name, her email address, her school, every friend I can think of, then went onto another local school as well where she has lots of friends, found the eldest sister of a friend of a friend, thought I might strike lucky by searching through friends lists, but one girl has it fixed so that you can't view her friends. Son doesn't appear to be on there either I'm completely stumped, and now I guess I'd better go and wash up the breakfast dishes before I add the lunch ones to the pile (Might go and invite sister to be a friend first......... if I can work out how to do it )

I hope I don't find any risque photos Bye, I may be gone some time Well, my DD1 raced upstairs to invite me to be a friend straight away. I wish she hadn't Now I can read all the things her friends are writing about her! I can't see any way of stopping her being my friend! I certainly don't want her reading the comments on my Wall. She seems to have a friend in Australia (I didn't know!) who has already invited me to be his friend. I said no!

Guest
It just shows how naive she is! At 18, I would have thought she would think a little further! Rather endearing of her I suppose.
