Cinnamon
Sorry if a lot are food based - I was pondering the stuff we only ever buy at this time of year while at work earlier this week (apart from the obvious crackers & mince pies): Advocaat Dates in that long thin box with a plastic fork Clementines with the leafs still on them Novelty socks & pants Fortune telling fish Baileys Huuuuge loooong boxes of Jaffa Cakes Stilton Miniature food - mini pies, mini fish & chips, mini burgers Glittery things (actually i confess to liking these all year round!) Willow
Every December I start the annual hunt for the nut crackers! huh A little worried this is a really stupid ques... But what are nut crackers ? My only buy at christmas shop Christmas crackers Mince pies Chestnuts Cranberries Panettone Brussel sprouts (I actually like these the way my husband cooks them but we never seem to bother the rest of the time) This year I bought celeraic to try a Mary Berry recipe Most other stuff we buy other times as well we may not use regularly but do use every so often and buy as needed. I used to buy bags of nuts but we didn't use them even though we like nuts so I don't bother anymore. Dates I sometimes use in baking so buy as needed. My SIL sent us home (from Dubai) with a huge bags of dates from her date palm with instructions to put pack straight into freezer. These are delicious, made me realise how much nicer fresh dates are
