chickencam
Lovely and cool tonight, makes much more sense for it to be 17degrees indoors not out at this time of year.
Valkyrie
Well after a rather misty time in Yorkshire - yes we did see some sun although hazy. Going to Whitby was dreadful - the fog was so bad until it became a little better in Whitby. Back to Richmond on the same day wasn't too bad! In fact I think they had good weather (cloud blanket I think but dry) there! It wasn't cold at all even though it was gloomy - we had the patio doors open pretty much all week. Quite humid. Daughter said they had a nasty thunderstorm down here - Mostin posted a video on FB with a really loud crack of thunder! Torrential rain on the way home but dry when we were on home turf, sun came out an hour later. Saturday was gloomy again but today - at last! Sun! Washing dried on the line, most ironed and I cleaned out the girls.
The Dogmother
FROST 6deg here this morning and a light frost on the north-facing rooftops. It was just 17deg indoors this morning so I popped the heating on for 10 minutes. You've been busy Val!
Purplemaniacs
Chilly start here too. My thermometer went down to 5.6 over night and that is next to the house wall. Chrissie
Groovychook
Hot and sunny yesterday but a much chillier affair this morning... 7deg. The sky is clear though and it's quickly warming up

The Dogmother
Gorgeous here too - really warm after a frosty start. Had a lovely walk this evening, up to the top of a nearby hill, I sat and watched the mist settle in the fields and the hot air balloons go past, while the dogs bothered the local wildlife. Such a shame I have to work
chickencam
Gorgeous day here too after a cold 5 degree start I too was stuck in an office all say apart from a treat at lunchtime when I got to queue in the bank for 20 minutes only to be evacuated when the fire alarm went off just as I was about to be served, then another 10 minutes in the queue later, but I did enjoy the walk there and back in the sunshine. Purplemaniacs
It is raining Can't remember when we last had a wet morning. The dogs did a double take when I opened the door for them to go out. I hope it drys up by playtime as it is my duty today and I hate wet indoor plays, the children need a run around outside. Groovychook
Woke up to rain! It's clearing now, the sun is shining and it feels fresher than of late. The forecast says dry but cloudy for the next few days though.

The Dogmother
Yep, cold and clear here too. I like the clear and sunny days of Autumn, it's the dark and drizzle I hate.
chickencam
Was horrible first thing, but brightened up by mid morning, quite chilly by late afternoon though, I was cold feeding and watering the chickens when I got home.
Groovychook
A lovely day with a crisp breeze. Feels as though the season is changing.
The Dogmother
6deg, clear and cold this morning. At least there's no breeze or it'd be very cold.
gavclojak
I like the clear and sunny days of Autumn, it's the dark and drizzle I hate. Oh and that autumnal smell in the air on those bright fresh days when the seasons are changing and the evenings with the smell of leaves burning in the air. I love autumn
soapdragon
There is school of thought that maintains that your favourite season is the one into which your birthday falls Prob not true in all cases but certainly mine; trees turning to reds, yellows and brown, carpets of leaves to kick though and wonderfully shiny conkers (how I would love my hair to be that colour!!!) Groovychook
I love it too, but apart from the misty mornings and dark evenings, it's nothing like Autumn here! Another very warm, sunny day. Loving the extended Summer but crikey, everything is so dry!!
The Dogmother
Who'd have thought that in the last days of September, I'd be in a vest top, shorts and flipflops?! Lovely weather Not sure about that old tale soapdragon; I don't much like winter, but i do like extreme weather, and I was born in the worst winter in living memory (1st January 1963) so perhaps it is true.
