Thought I would share this

Recommended Posts

I've just watched the whole thing - and didn't get bored at all (it had me in tears).

It's absolutely amazing - what a fantastic record to have. You can't believe it's the same little girl - she's just gorgeous :) . I went from tears at the beginning to smiles at some of the later pictures!

I don't know what else to say - I'm overcome with emulsion  .

Oh Bron - the tears are still rolling. I know it was hard for you all to go through that - but she is gorgeous and happy and, hey, what a fighter.

Love the Celebrations tin! And the two sleepsuits - my heart jumped.

Will show Mike when he gets home - he was smitten with her the night he met her (as you know) and he heard some of her story then so he will want to see this.

Go Nia!

Gosh - what a journey. It takes me back to when my son was born 10 weeks early. Now he's a strapping 9 year old with attitude to match.

Babies are beautiful gifts that we are lucky enough to share our lives with. Enjoy your little one while she is young - they grow up far too quickly :(

Love

Oh Bron I'm dripping tears everywhere.

I can't imagine what you have been through, you have hinted before that Nia's birth was traumatic & you had a rough time.

How prem was she, & what did she weigh?

How old & heavy was she when she finally came home?

The kangaroo nursing was lovely to see :D

I like the Miffy cake too, & aqll the crumbs over the high chair!

The first picture of her big brother giving her a kiss was fantastic.

She was born at either 27+1 or 27+6 gestation depending on various scans and my dates and she was a huge 2lb 12 I have big babies anyway ds1 was 9lb 14 but she was very swollen at birth and they thought she might have something called turners syndrome. She didnt and the swelling went down as did her weight to about 2.5lbs until she started putting it on (and has never stopped)

You know it was such a blur I'm not even sure of the date she came home I think it was just before the 21st so she would have been about 11 weeks old. I think she weighed about 6lb something by that point. (thats appalling I dont know- I could check if I wanted though)

One of my fave pics is one of the ones of dh doing kangeroo, shes seems so tiny and manages to make him look manly which is an achievement.

I am rightly very proud of her. Most people can't beleive she was ever prem and is only slightly behind her peers and only in a few things. Shes perfectly capable of harassing her borthers or climbing up the sofa to get on the windowsill to bang on it at passing people. :)

Thank you for all the lovely comments :)
