Bit low at the mo.

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

Having bit of a sad time at the moment.

My cat had fits & I've been told to love her & make her comfortable. She is disorientated, has a blank stare & hardly eating. The vet said we could have had her brain scanned, but he didn't advise it. I feel we lost our cat on hubbys birthday & now we have a different cat. It is sad to see her. She also has renal failure & has lost so much weight. I get upset thinking about her. We are doing our best for her.

I'm also being attacked by my big Bumble cockerel & so is hubby. Not good. So we are trying to find him a new home. My sister is having him wandering on the farm if I can't find an alternative home for him. He was hatched from a Wernlas collection egg & its a bit sad to have to let him go - but its not fair on the hens, us & the chicken sitters.

Then finally, my dad is out of work. I'm worried how they will pay the mortgage. The holiday for February needs paying in November & mum & dad say they can no longer go. How are me & my hubby going to feel next February, when they are not with us on holiday. Dad is 60 & I think his age will go against him getting another job. I'm so upset at the mo.

I'm jam making, chutney making etc to take my mind of things.

I am really sorry that things are bad for you.

Try not to worry about your dad, some employers are welcoming of the older generation as their work ethic is good and their attendance exemplary. I have just taken on two of the older generation and think they are amongst the best staff I have ever dealt with.

Hugs x

Thanks everyone - my little cat has just come in & sat at the bottom of the stairs for me to carry her up. She can't do it herself today. So she is now in hubbys office curled up on an old quilt I've put down for her.

Will ring dad later, see how he is doing. He had such a good managerial job in the waste & recycling industry, shame about the company. I don't see the company lasting somehow.

My dad lives & works for his holidays - thats his one main bit of pleasure. I just wish I could help, but I can't. I found him some jobs to apply for in the same sort of line of work, fingers crossed for him. His attendance, willingness to work, itelligence, past skills & qualifications can only stand in his favour. I hope & pray he finds something soon.

I know I can't heal my cat, but I can help dad & be there for him & mum.

I got such a lot of love and support when I posted on here about my tough times so I'm passing some on to you as it's horrible to feel helpless and low. So lots of love, hope your Dad finds something, it's tough times out there I know but will keep everything crossed. Hope your cat is comfortable and knows how loved she is and that you find a good home for your cockerel, they're beautiful, proud creatures but they're a bloomin' nuisance once they're big!

Anyway, as I said I had an abundance of good wishes, more than I ever expected so I am happily passing you the excess hugs, good wishes, love and support, you're in the right place on here at least. :D

Don't things always seem to come at once ... hope things pick up, and your dad finds something soon.

I also hope that your jam and chutney turn out beautifully - always makes you feel better when something small goes right, even though the big things are still there.
