Life begins at 40, really! Today!

Recommended Posts

Yes, I have hit the big 40. And am very happy about it! I have decided that I am going to take no prisoners in my 40's!

I won't be getting a tatoo though....

SO:

Out for a meal and then cinema tonight

Tomorrow morning I am going to see a show home in Cobham (A huf haus), then Twickenham for the rubgy (yee haaa), then London for a regimental dinner!

Sunday I am heading up to the NEC to go to the Homebuilding and renovation show.

BIG party next weekend!

I am also going to sit myself down and write a list of things I wish to do in my 40's.

What would you guys suggest? :D

Congratulations Annie - have a fabulous day and year :dance::dance::dance:

I'm also turning 40 this year and have started to think of things I want to do :D :D

In preparation of my 40th (in 6 months time) I'm losing weight and getting fit, doing the finishing touches to my house and getting my life in order so that when I turn 40 I can think about doing some fun things - still thinking of more but so far......

getting a tattoo :D

running the local 10k run for charity :D

doing an OU taster course to see if it's something I want to take further :D

Happy birthday!

I'm 40 next month and have decided to enjoy it too. I've decided that I won't let work rule my life, and will be trying to take life more in the direction I want it to go. We're having a weekend away with friends to a mystery location. I'm also trying to find out who owns that few square metres of unused land on the other side of my garden hedge - it would make a fab veggie plot and OH is game for us to buy it if possible.

There are loads of things I want to do, feel free to add any or all to your list!

I'd like to travel more, go on another whale-watching trip and actually see some whales (previous attempts having been rather thin in the whale sighting department), swim in a properly warm sea, have time to read a book now and then, and learn to say 'no' sometimes! Oh, and expand my menagerie (although OH is trying to say 'enough', but we all know that's in the OED and is easily ignored!).

Happy 40th Birthday from me too.

I started to organise my trek up Kilimanjaro as my 40th challenge. Now, I have to think of some other events but don't want to be away from the kids for too long just yet.

Have a wonderful birthday - make sure it lasts at least a week - and ENJOY

I'm a typical carpricorn. The older i get the more happier i am.

We tend to go in reverse. As youngsters we are an old head on young shoulders, then get younger as we get older :) Seriously, i'm 43 now, and quite happy. I always say that i am glad i was born when i was. I wouldn't want to have been born nowadays. The 70's was fabulous, and 80's exciting, didn't take too much notice of the nineties, but don't think i missed out on anything? I have really fond memories of my childhood. How many kids nowadays could play in the streets after dark, or play in the woods like we used to? As said, i wouldn't swap my childhood for nothing. 40 plus and happy.
