superkitty
Ooh they sound nice (the apricot bars) (and the marshmallows, actually ) where are the recipes from?
Sue_F
The bars are from Rachel's favourite food at home by Rachel Allen and the marshmallows are Heston at home. Katy
Duncan08
An old Mary Berry recipe, strawberry meringue roulade, but did it with raspberries. Was lovely, really easy, and looks good too!
Sue_F
Made chocolate cupcakes with caramel icing and sprinkled with chopped up flake. Really yummy, but very sweet!!! Katy

Goosey Lucy
Spanish Churros to complement the tin of Spanish hot chocolate bought yesterday. Delicious.
Purplemaniacs
I made an old fashioned swiss roll with strawberry jam. It was yummy, my mum used to make a great swiss roll that I loved when I was a child. I was pleased with my effort, it even rolled Chrissie
The Dogmother
Just making some small sausage rolls (local free range pork) as Rosie has reminded me that I haven't made them in ages Had to shut the dogs out of the kitchen as they go mad for anything involving sossidges
redhotchick
Nids De Tartiflette a la Rachel Khoo (The Little Paris Kitchen). I've never eaten Tartiflette before, but now I can't imagine any of the recipes I've looked up being as pleasing as this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GUgkjWQV-M Edited May 9, 2012 by Guest
chickencam
I had tartiflette at our work Christmas meal in a local French bistro and it was gorgeous, real rich comfort food, I will have a look at this. I watched the first programme and found her a little annoying so haven't bothered with any of the others.

I made the custard with custard powder and did half the recipe with about 300g of rhubarb with a smaller round tin. Do have a go, it is yummy, especially served slightly warm

chickencam
Lovely roast lamb (half price in Tesco this weekend) served with roasted peppers, onions, celery, tomatoes and chorizo seasoned with paprika and smoked paprika and new potatoes. The tastiest meal that I have had in ages. Great end to a good day
clucker1
Bara Brith, which everyone loved! Nearly all gone, essential you eat it with butter spread on I think. I made the traditional recipe with no fat in it which was weird and I was dubious about how it would come out, but I needn't have worried. It was declared one of the best cakes I have ever made......praise indeed. Plus it is really good for you with all that dried fruit and wholemeal flour. Duncan08
It wasn't today, but we had some friends around at the weekend. Slow roasted pork shoulder, rare breed free range. Cooked for 6 hours, served with home made chutney and coleslaw and bread rolls (didn't make them, was short of time) Recipe from good food magazine June issue. Went down a treat, they even rang the next day to let me know how much they enjoyed it. Simple food with loads of flavour.
chickencam
Creamy fish pie from HFW's Family cookbook. If the constituent parts are anything to go by it should be yum, a lot of tasting has been done.
Duncan08
I did a recipe testing at the weekend. Carrot Cake, Mary Berrys Recipe from the new book and Good Housekeeping from a rather old book we have had for years. Good Housekeepings recipe won 10-0 But don't give up on Mary Berry just yet, her Chocolate and Beetroot cake went down a treat with everyone
chickencam
My favourite cake book is Mary Berry's Fast Cakes.
Duncan08
Mary is usually a favourite of mine, I love her iced lime traybake for a quick cake fix. this recipe was just to "healthy" tasting, made with Wholegrain SR flour and no butter, non of the tasters enjoyed it and they were aged between 12 and 76! ubereglu
I cooked up kidney bean burgers that I made yesterday-they definitely held together better today than yesterday-eg they stayed burger shape!
chickencam
The cherry bakewell cipcakes from The Great British Bake off book, they are nice but rose too high for me to flood the top with icing, although that would have probably been too much icing for my taste anyway, lovely light tasty cake with the ground almonds in it. My DS who is on study leave is currently making himself a florentina pizza from scratch, messy business
