SarahJo
Re-scheduled the Water Park trip - too risky taking 2 cars of children AND its still snowing. Have a sledging meet arranged now, for this afternoon
bellekatz
We have had a covering of snow this morning.......... again
Old Speckled Hen
Errr - its white outside, thought it was supposed to stay clear overnight and today Supposed to be taking 7 children to Alton Towers, swimming Reminds me of swimming in Iceland's steaming Blue Lagoon with snow all around
Blackrocksrock
Has anybody else got snow again. We have had a light covering but the girls are back to looking disgruntled and not too keen to come out of the run. Hope it doesn't last long. This is day 44 of snow for us - we had a shower during the night again but the roads clearer than they have been for a couple of days - were very slippy friday and saturday - I was out and about yesterday and they were not so good in the morning but got better during the day but needs must for a haircut! Feel like hibernating in bed for the rest of the winter
The Dogmother
-2deg this morning and a burst water main at the bottom of our road, so called out Thames Water Snow on and off during the day, but never amounted to much at all.
Lewis
It attempted to snow last night but nothing ... all the waters have been frozen the last few days.
helenshens
It hasn't been too bad here (South Manchester) for the most part although this morning I woke up to snow. It was very chilly last night and the girls wisely chose to stay in their house today whilst I sat by their Eglu like a plonker waiting for them lol! Most of the snow had melted during the day so -fingers crossed- it doesn't snow again tomorrow. How is everyone else faring?
The Dogmother
It was blisteringly cold up at the yard this morning, all the outside water was frozen so no handwashing facilities, nor outside loo The pipe leading to the hot water urn in the barn had frozen and burst. Valkyrie
Debs has seen our shrinking snow piles! But apart from a very cold day, it's been quite pleasant and NO MORE SNOW!
Cinnamon
We have had a dusting overnight - very cold too.
Lesley
The same here - half an inch of snow and very cold......looks pretty though!
The Dogmother
Loads of frost this morning and a tiny sprinkling of snow, but that's all. It remains below zero though and the clouds are gathering Lesley, i have seen cars this morning with snow on the roof and bonnet - they must have come from your way then. Blackrocksrock
Snow and blow yesterday - showers overnight - roads were again lethal this morning and its very cold in the wind. Want to hibernate now
The Dogmother
Icy cold wind here now - boss just came in and reckons it'll snow.
Helly Welly
Very frosty here and pretty darn cold. A bit of a breeze too which makes it even more cold. The chickens water has been frozen all weekend. The girls seem very attracted to the ice once we've removed it from their drinking bucket, they just can't stop pecking it
Christian
It was blowing a blizzard of snow on the A303 this morning at 6am. A light sprinkling at Heathrow, but not enough to cause chaos
Christian
Falling thick and fast here now. About 2 inches in 10 minutes. Fret not Koojie. I am in Zurich
WarrensWorld
It was a lovely sunny day yesterday, and quite warm. Today overcast with a wee touch of drizzle, but still fairly warm. The girls didn't seem to mind at all.
Guest
Falling thick and fast here now. About 2 inches in 10 minutes. Fret not Koojie. I am in Zurich When you said "falling thick and fast here now" I had a terrible feeling in my gut.... I thought to myself, my car is hopeless in the snow and i'll most definitely be stranded at Omlet HQ and then I realised that you said you were in Zurich... Phew..... As far as I am concerned it can stay in Zurich
The Dogmother
You'll not want to be stranded at the mothership Quin... unless the *erm* 'facilities' have improved since I was last there!
Valkyrie
That's a relief Christian! I won't get in a hissy fit now.
Charlottechicken
Woke up this morning to a surprise couple of inches of snow Must have surprised the council as well as no roads were gritted, and all appeared to be frozen. I slid carefully down the little side road to get onto the main road this morning and only as I got nearer the centre of Brum did it look OK on the roads. A colleague in North Worcs could not get in to work but a colleague from Lichfield was fine Thankfully the roads and pavements are now snow free thanks to a lovely sunny day, but it is bitter outside now. Patricia W
It was absolutely chaos on the roads this morning in Abingdon after about 1 cm of snow. No gritting and it took me 45 mins to do a journey that normally takes 10 mins! Tricia
