Congratulations

Well done you and welcome to little Raven. :D

You were my first thought this morning, the last thing that I saw before bed last night was your midnight post.

I nearly said to you that when I was 10 days over with DS I had a slow burn and then a 3 hour full labour, the wait is awful but things happen during that time. I didn't say anything just incase it didn't wrok out that way.

I am so pleased that you got the home birth that you wanted :D

YAY! Welcome Raven and many congratulations to her parents (and big brother too):clap::clap: ...and lots of blessings on all of you.

What wonderful news on a grey autumn morning. :D

Rest as much as you can and have a truly wonderful babymoon.

PS Home births are fab, aren't they...All my labours were very short indeed and to curl up in your own bed with the little one beside you is one of the Best Things Ever. Happy memories :)

Brill! Many congrats and also welcome to Raven...we've been waiting for you to arrive for sooo long (but not as long as your Mum was!!).

Thanks so much for letting us know so quickly...I have been following this thread with bated breath...hope you get a good sleep now and all your aches and pains quickly fade away.

thanks everyone!!

my sis said she couldn't wait til after work to meet her niece...and arrived at 5.15am promptly!! so no sleep here, but am far too wired anyways - i had imagined I'd still be well engrossed in labour at this time, not meeting and greeting!

been out, fed the chookies while daddy got some snuggle time, now I'm sat on the couch wuth a fast asleep baby and a very excited older brother. It's amazing to be starting out a new day in my own home, with all my comforts around me :)

no visitors now til 12, hubby is emptying the pool (that i didnt even get to use but for the best possible reasons!) and all the towels are boil-washing - normality slowly resumes!

*bliss*

Congratulations Cally and welcome to the big wide exciting world Raven :D

I'm so glad the long wait is over for you and the birth experience was everything you wanted. Its the most beautiful morning here, full of autumnal sun and misty, mellow fruitfulness as the poem says....but nothing like as good as the morning in your house

So so pleased for you Cally and family. Hello Raven I bet you are the most beautiful little bundle.

There is no better feeling than giving birth at home (in my opinion). I'm quite jealous bizarrely.

Off to celebrate my 4 year olds birthday. Well done again Cally. Hugs to you all.

It's funny the affect that this forum can have, is it just me or is anyone else feeling a bit emotional and relieved this morning?

Do try to rest though Cally, it will hit you later as the adrenaline wears off, any chance of you son having a nap after the overnight excitement? If he does make sure that you get your head down too.

Have a lovely day :D
