The small amount of snow we had melted by yesterday afternoon. No frost in the night but very windy. I was watching a storm to the South at 6am, lightening lighting up the cloudy sky.

 

We are now in the middle of a blizzard. The wind is fierce whipping up the snow and blowing it around. The cottage at the end of the lane has disappeared from view. I can't see out of the kitchen windows (facing North) as they have been plastered with snow.

 

I am not looking forward to driving to work this morning. First I think I will take DD to school, The place she waits for the school bus is very exposed, surrounded by open fields and no where to shelter.

Its snowing in Aber! :D

 

Came out of our 9 o'clock Animal Science lecture and everywhere was white 8)

Didn't think they'd be running but the bus came so we got back to the other campus ok.

 

Went on the bridge over the main road/hill down into Aber ... can normally see the sea:

Went down to the beach after our other lectures but most of it had gone from down there by that time!

Not nice with all the hills and ice here!

My sister in law and her husband were due to come and see us tomorrow, they live just outside Aberystwyth. They decided to call it off after one of the lorries from husband company got stuck in Brecon earlier today.

 

They weren't really worried about whether they'd get here, they were worried about whether they;d be able to get home on Sunday.

No Snow here,..... although it is freezing despite some sunshine this afternoon...frost on the lawn hasn't melted......according to the weather for tonight much more to come and low low temperatures........i think it is time to keep the heating on 24/7 for now......managed up to now with it on morning and evening but today it has been very cold.

We have had at least another 4 inches today and now its a white out - just been a car off at the junction with the main road causing chaos for about 10 minutes or so but cleared now = my car is like a giant snowman car - photos tomorrow if I can get out the door - the trees are bent over with it yet again - its boring now! Please let it go away!

It is here ....We have snow,

I fell over going down garden to let the chucks out, hands full of water and food, now ground full of warm water and food ....made some refills and went out again this time in my Boots.

Girls let out and as they have a nice drink of water , i coated their wattles and combs with vasaline.....job done .

Oh it is -2 at present......got to dig the car out next......
