I lost a lovely friend of over 25 years on Saturday... we had met aged 12 at High School.

 

It's just too awful and tragic and I'm so shocked... She had had a terrible 12 months - she had lost a baby Daughter aged 5 months due to serious congenital birth defects. She had been in and out of hospital throughout her pregnancy and after her Baby was born, bless her xxx

 

My Sister is good friends with her and saw her often. Last week she saw her at a friends Birthday gathering and she was saying to everyone how she had felt ill - breathless and generally unwell. She wondered if it was panic attacks because she had been through so much. She went to her docs who sent her straight to A&E... Various tests were done, she was admitted and they discovered she had a clot. She was discharged with meds and sent home. She collapsed at home and was rushed back in... the clot was in her lung and she passed away.

She was only 37 years old with a little boy aged six.

 

I am utterly in bits - I just cannot believe it. I am devastated for her Mum, Sister and her little boy who is struggling to understand why his baby Sister has died, let alone his Mummy. I am sending loving thoughts to them all xxx

 

I will treasure my memories of her and us growing up together xxx but why is life so cruel sometimes?
