Ain't Nobody Here
My immediate neighbour told my OH this morning that our neighbour opposite asked her if someone round here keeps chickens. I've only had them for 5 years . At least they can't be that annoying if he's only just noticed .
patsylabrador
Incredible win by England against New Zealand. All sorts of excitement. Couldn't watch it live but definitely going to find highlights somewhere and watch it a lot.

patsylabrador
Congratulations Fred. That's the hardest bit over isn't it? I don't know if like Kitbag you know someone in the job but if not, we're a Met family so if you want to know anything about anything, even if it seems trivial, please ask. patsylabrador
A mouse has had quite a time in my Christmas decorations. One Father Christmas has had his face thoroughly chewed and his beard is now a nest. Another was gutted, as was I. I had three festive soaps - gold, frankincense and myrrh. It didn't like the frankincense and myrrh but ate the gold. I had some beautiful berries and mushrooms which should go on the banister but they've mostly been eaten. You'd think that at some point the mouse would have thought " Yuck. This is not tasty at all".

Lavenders_Blue
I had three festive soaps - gold, frankincense and myrrh. It didn't like the frankincense and myrrh but ate the gold. Sounds like a mouse with expensive tastes I am sorry to hear about your decorations, we have had mice in our garage and it's extremely annoying to find things which have been chewed. Serves me right for not being more organised and sorting them out properly, but still......

Alis girls
Mice dont think like us - they are greedy pigs. one yr after taking down our decs - kept finding foil on floor from edible choccie decs and gave the kids a right rollicking for not using the litter bin. Found out later we had mices. Got 2 puddies cats and the rest as they say is history. You can only hope they got severe indigestion.
The Dogmother
Just had an email from a neighbour; their veg box was stolen from their doorstep early yesterday morning quite a few folks hereabouts have veg boxes delivered, so that won't go down well. I suggested that she asks her IT-savvy OH to put a CCTV camera outside their door, but apparently he struggles to put up a shelf
chickencam
Loving the fact that my children care about each other and want to spend time together. My YD is going on a Christmas shopping trip with the school to Cribbs Causeway this evening and ED is making the effort to go there to meet up with her. She is at uni in Bristol. It is quite a trek for her, nice to know that they care, YD is delighted
The Dogmother
You know what really bugs me this afternoon? The people who argue back when you take a call, they turn out to be an unsolicited call and you advise them that you are on the TPS.

The Dogmother
My ears are on stalks.... Rosie has some friends round for a sleepover and while we were having supper they were discussing another of their group who isn't here; this girl (she is 14) has a mother who always wants to be best friends with the girls, which they find odd - she's a mother for goodness sakes, not one of them Rosie has stopped going round to their house because this mother has offered to be her 'second mum'... Rosie said 'no thanks, I have a mum'. The mother helped her daughter dye her hair purple.. the girl was excluded from school as it's against the strict uniform code. The latest is that this mother is buying her 14 year old daughter Ann Summers undies for Christmas Whatever happened to parents being responsible adults? Finally found nativity characters - I think they have been away cos for several yrs they were lost. Just got to find some where to blue tack angel to. YS is ill and being a bad patient. All snotty and achey poor love - just what we need before Christmas and heres me thinking we had escaped all the bugs. Got the killer heels for ES to give thr g/f - wondered if should get her a ladder too. They have studs on the heels - be ok if shes attacked - put the heel down someones shin it would hurt. She'll have bunions in yrs to come - speak from experience any of you ladies in your heels - it will come back to haunt you.

Ain't Nobody Here
At last, all that training has worked . For the first time ever, OH shouted "chickens" at a programme on telly last night (which I wasn't even watching!) .
