Ain't Nobody Here

Last worn in 1979

Recommended Posts

I'm sure it wasn't particularly trendy in 1979, glad to hear it may be now  .

It was a real hoot going through all the stuff. It was all so familiar. Sadly, lots of the suitcases had got damp (they were in the garage) and one even had a huge lump of fungus growing inside it :vom: . Some stuff just had to go in the bin :( . We found some silverware which my mum (who is 87) said was her granny's and a silver christening cup with my dad's initials, dated 1921 8).

I loved this t-shirt 8) .

Didn't know I still had this little kimono 8) .

I'm sure there are photos of me wearing this over my swimming costume in Japan. My brother says he had a blue one  .

I loved this 8) . I'm going to see if I can get it working again :D .

Found a school jotter filled with Higher Latin, a school sweatshirt, my uni scarf and a tiny kilt which does fit round my waist (but should really go round one and a half times  ). Also found a Japanese caligraphy set, a mini roulette set and loads of Japanese language books (my mum's).

There's more stuff to sort through but the mould spores were getting to us so we didn't finish it today.

*Squeeeal*! A Skippy T Shirt!! 8)8)8)8)8)8) Wonderful!

Skippy was my most favourite programme as a kid (well, that and White Horses) In fact, Skippy was my imaginary friend and I once made Mum turn back in the car when we set off on holiday without him. She wasn't impressed.

Skippy, skipppppy, skippy the bush kangarooooo. I used to like that. I had a soft toy skippy with a Joey in its pouch. It was huge.

Some beautiful clothes there. You look stunning in that dress. You want to get & wear it, it's lovely & really suits you.

I too would have been 5. So apart from my hair bobbles, that's about all that would fit me from those days.

Wow - well done ANH - I definitely couldn't fit into any of my teenage clothes or clothes from my 20's come to that

I love looking through old photos but clothes also bring back memories. My mum used to make a lot of mine and my sister's dresses when we were younger, unfortunately we've not kept any of them. :(
