chickencam
Was 3 degrees at dusk yesterday then 10 degrees by 7am this morning, like you say no wonder nature is confused. Started bright this morning then the sun came out, but it has been getting progressively darker since.
Groovychook
Much milder here this morning too. There have been a few brief, light showers but it's brightish. Well, brightish grey
Valkyrie
12 degrees at 11.30, although it was windy it was quite nice. Clouded over in the afternoon.
Luvachicken
So windy here today it's frightening I'm not even near the coast. Not as much rain as they said though so I suppose that's a good thing. Â Hope everyone stays safe.
Groovychook
Think we've got the rain... it's been torrential for most of the day. The chooks have got a moat again It's windy too but not so bad at the moment.
mullethunter
Rivers absolutely raging but no flooded properties anywhere I've been today. Spectacular but could do with a bit of respite.
Groovychook
Extremely windy here. Such a roaring gale during the night and lashing with rain. It's still gusting now although seems to have calmed a bit. Â We've got lots of things down in the garden and the pergola is leaning at a very jaunty angle. I'm thinking firewood
jess1merlin
Really windy in north Devon. Just been down to the beach at Woolacombe and the waves are huge! Please can summer start in March this year, I think we have had our quota of bad weather.
mullethunter
Tad breezy! Biggest sea I've ever seen.
Valkyrie
Yesterday was awful - big trees fallen here, luckily not near me! But one resident has a U shaped hole in his fence where a huge tree fell into it. Lots of flooding around - lakes instead of fields. But today was better and a tad chilly. Lots of leaves appearing on trees now.
Valkyrie
Well all I can say about this morning is brass monkeys!!!!! But it's sunny and clear. I can live with this. Â Here we go round the mulberry bush tra la la . . . .
mullethunter
Had to cover the pond with bubble wrap last night to stop the frog spawn freezing. Good job I did because all the chickens drinkers were frozen for the first time since I've had them in June 2014. Â Beautiful though. The Dogmother
-3deg first thing, and lovely yesterday, if a little cold. Today was another matter... +3deg, wet and windy with sleet first thing. Â Gah!!
mullethunter
Horrid here today too. Last two bright, dry, cold, sunny days I've been in the office. Today it was 6 degrees and raining and I was out
The Dogmother
that figures!
soapdragon
Beautiful, clear, cold, bright day here in sunny south Oxfordshire! More rain promised for tomorrow though but temps into double figures at the weekend, so they say.
Valkyrie
Must have rained lots because lots of flood signs, huge puddles and road rivers when I went shopping this morning. Dry and dull but the sun came out and stayed. Lovely day!
Groovychook
It's a beautiful day today, sunshine, blue skies and white fluffy clouds. Not too cold either. Must be nearly spring, my cat Basil has just caught his first rabbit of the season
sjp
a bit grey first thing but the suns been out since mid morning and it's got quite warm here finally been able to cut some fire wood up that isn't soaking wet and should be dry enough to burn by the week end
Valkyrie
Well we've had it all. Sun and very windy, sleet and very windy, rain and very windy then blue sky and sunshine and gales - and now we have so much hail it looks like we've had snow! It's been so bad that you can't see much out of the windows - a hail blizzard if you like!
Groovychook
We've had a similar mix. Horrendous gales overnight. There was a road blocked due to a few fallen trees on the way to the vets this morning. It's still quite gusty, and raining now, rather than the ferocious hail storms we has this morning
mullethunter
Yuck. What a grim day. Cold, howling wind, rain and hail showers. Should have stayed in bed.
The Dogmother
Us too; lovely sunny start, then high winds and sleet/hail/snow showers all day. Just been talking to my dad and he tells me that we will have snow on Friday.
soapdragon
Alternating between blue skies and nasty sleet here all day...guess which it was when I HAD to be outdoors No snow forecast for the next few days though, thank goodness, but I check the RAF Benson site every time I log on (they are very close and very accurate!) Â Definately the flannel pyjamas tonight though Poss even bed socks...its amazing how cold it gets in the wee small hours before the heating kicks in
Groovychook
We've had a fair bit of sunshine today with the odd sharp shower. Got some washing dry on the line and stacked a trailer load of firewood
