New Plastic Hen House

Recommended Posts

I like the look of these and posted about them before, someone commented that the plastic looks thin and after seeing one up close now I agree with this, its thin-ish plastic (though not brittle to be fair) and is not double skinned so it would be quite cold inside I reckon

Condensation could be a problem but the ventilation is good which lessens the chances certainly

they are well made, easy to dismantle but sturdy when assembled. the internal design is good, lots of smooth surfaces and joins are good and easy to clean

The door 'mechanism' works smoothly and has been well thought out

I still like the look of them, they look like they have been designed by someone with chickens which really helps!! but I wouldnt buy one personally as I believe the actual plastic sheet used lets it down

Have seen these before and found them when I was looking for duck housing - I think they look ok but would much rather spend the money on a Go or eglu :D

I think they're too high priced to sell enough to compete with Omlet really

They do bigger chicken then duck/geese houses and rabbit hutches - all quite 8) stuff

It looks like a good substitute for a wooden hut, though without the twin walls it would be better priced at under £200.

I think what I don't like about it is the fact that they have just made a fairly traditional looking chicken house out of plastic, rather than redesign the whole concept, like the Classic Eglu.

Other than that, good for them for having a go, even if it is starting to remind me of one of those DIY flatpack 70's lampshades
