Egluntyne
The handle has just come off the coal bucket, so I have just had to hoover half a ton of coal off my sitting room carpet.

Sheilaz
Decided to use up all the freezer food and then restock, so took out an unlabelled parcel assuming it was mince pies. Very disappointed to find it contained chicken fillets. Drat, I'll have to cook something now.

patsylabrador
Fed up with OH pinching the quilt so bought two singles today. I tried to arrange them on the bed in that continental way you see in hotels. Sadly it just looks like I've trussed up a couple of bodies and left them to deal with later. Olly
Sorry, that's made me laugh! A nice surprise when you go up to bed ....
Adelochick
Well patsylabrador did having the two single quilts make for a better night's sleep after all? Or did you find your OH managed to end up with both of the quilts? Happy new year to all.
Ain't Nobody Here
Or did you spend the night disposing of the two bodies ?
The Dogmother
I have a king sized duvet on my double bed. I mostly sleep in it on my own, but when Phil stays at weekends it means that he doesn't hog the duvet.
Looney
We always have two single duvets on our double bed and I find it so much more comfortable! OH no longer nicks the duvet and when he comes to bed later than me he doesn't disturb me so much trying to prise the duvet off me!
LolaLayla
When we had German visitors they were surprised that everywhere they stayed they had a bed with a double duvet and not two singles. It makes so much more sense to have singles really. In saying that we still have a double.
patsylabrador
The bodies are in next door's bins. I forgot it was a bank holiday weekend. Hoping local foxes don't do a bin raid. Having two quilts is great! Sleeping pattern the same, just more cosy.
Lavenders_Blue
Two single duvets here too - makes for a much more harmonious marriage
Plum
But how would my cats decide which one to creep under. Life has been a lot more cosy since we went from a normal to King size duvet. Aren't vets expensive. Shelled out nearly £700 yesterday for my poor mog who is now on the mend. I don't begrudge it but can't help feeling we've been ripped off. Lewis
Wish car insurance wasn't so expensive! On a little car I was quoted £1600 ... Mother was quoted £177!
patsylabrador
I hate the way young men are penalised by insurance companies. The worst, most dangerous and most incompetent drivers I experience are not young men. Anyone who lives in NW London would know what I mean. Ain't Nobody Here
Lewis, get a quote from Co-op Young Driver Insurance. It was half what other companies quoted me for YS learning to drive.
Lewis
Lewis, get a quote from Co-op Young Driver Insurance. It was half what other companies quoted me for YS learning to drive. I did have a look 'cos know you love it and saved money but its £750 more than I was quoted by 1st Central on moneysupermarket?... Not keen on the Smartbox 'cos I do a lot of Motorway driving - also most of my driving is after 6pm and would be between 11pm-6am for Lambing so that shot it right up!
