Alis girls
Just wondered what side you sleep on. I sleep on the left so if an intruder comes in OH fights him off and protects me. .no that's just how we seemed to settle t when we moved in. It was no "I want this side etc" in hotels we just seem to put our stuff on one side and the other person takes the other side. Never argue about it. I thought about this as OH had Everybody loves Raymond on and they were arguing about bed sides.
patsylabrador
Always the right side. It's how we fit now and sort of natural. Just habit.
Ursula123
Always drivers side
Groovychook
Always drivers side I always like to sleep furthest away from the door- wherever we are sleeping! I don't know why, but it always seems very important to me. OH isn't fussed but he just follows instructions
mullethunter
On the left. Proper creatures of habit! PS - OH also likes Everybody Loves Raymond - I can't stand it!

Cat tails
Left, but only because that side has the socket for my alarm clock...
soapdragon
On the right as that is nearest the door and so any children who may need me in the night...not that it ever happened; just stamp 'Parnoid Mother' on my forehead in indelible ink Also nearest loo, too
Alis girls
Mixed response. The only time we have issues is when we have family room with child/children. Then they want big bed with parent and I usually have the single bed
Valkyrie
If you are standing at the bottom of the bed then I sleep on the right. Lying in bed I'm on the left. Been like it for years - although when I went to bed one night and his lordship was spread right across my side I thought I'd go on his side instead. I found it really difficult to sleep there though!!! So now I just shove him across. Nice in winter as he warms it up for me, but I don't like his hot bod on my side in summer! Edited to add that the door is on my side - which was easier to deal with childrens nightmares or illnesses. And as I sleep very lightly I could investigate any strange noises. One time it was a neighbour's cat that climbed in the bathroom window. He promptly demanded to be let out downstairs.
chickencam
We have swapped around over the years, OH is a poor sleeper and every few years he has a grass is greener moment and we move around. We had a moment like the a couple of weeks ago but this time I am struggling, just doesn't feel right

Cat tails
Wherever I want! I have the bed all to myself. Haha me too! Although I have to share with the cat... she isn't really the sharing type.
soapdragon
Sounds like bliss, Olly...I wish! I love it when OH is away as I can settle when I want and sleep through without snorings, fidgeting and general duvet hoggings. And he can't do DIY! Alis girls
Bit confused Soapdragon what has DIY got to do with bed sides. OH comes to bed later and has to talk which annoys me then when he gets in off goes the duvet - and I get a blast of air. I am at the stage in life where I am either too hot or too cold and don't appreciate this type of behaviour. Why are men so annoying in bed? Olly
I think Soapdragon means having someone that can do DIY is the pay-off for not having the bed to yourself!

bluekarin
I used to sleep on whatever side was nearest the door for nighttime kiddie issues, but now I sleep on the left. Prior to kids though, I have no idea what side I slept on
chooksRCute
Wherever I want! I have the bed all to myself. Same here, pure luxury of a king size to myself.....
Valkyrie
I used to relish those business trips away - they may have been a couple of nights a year but I had the best sleep ever. I'm getting quite cheesed off with him sleeping diagonally though because while his head is on his pillow he is getting really obstinate when I try and push his legs over. I have resorted to saying MOVE OVER a little louder than a whisper. So I get in and huff and puff for half an hour after my hissy fit while he snores. He doesn't go on business trips now. The Dogmother
It depends.... at my place I have a double bed and usually just share it with the cat, when I sleep on the right. When OH comes to stay he sleeps diagonally across the bed 'because he is tall', or so he says; so I stay on the right, but have less of the bed to myself and usually hop out and get in round t'other side if he's being invasive At his place, he has a super king, so I have plenty of room and sleep on the left just because he's always had the right side. Personally I don't really care so long as I have plenty of room, I do object to him bed-hogging in his bed though as it really isn't necessary.
