My uncle can get/lend me a car (cousins are mechanics) but I'd never be able to insure it Parents are company cars so can't even drive them for a year!

Think first drive to Aber would be but soon get used to it - not that I'll need a car when I'm there.

 

Might do PassPlus which covers things like motorways, country lanes + night driving - meant to reduce insurance by up to 35% too!

DD did that - she thought it was very good and well worth the money. It was very scary at first, but now she's a dab hand and trips to Wales, Plymouth, Bournemouth are just little jaunts to her now. I think the biggest shock was seeing other cars zoom up so close and so quickly because they are not adhering to the speed limit. Plus the sight of extremely bad driving by cutting in and tail gaiting at speed . . .

Well done ES did PassPlus and thoroughly enjoyed it, however whilst it is definitely an asset to have, it didn't make much difference on his insurance - just about paid for the course (think about £150).
