Finished Uni!

Recommended Posts

On Thursday I finished Uni and left Aberystwyth, hopefully with a degree in Animal Science!

Can't believe how fast my 3 years have gone, it still feels like I'm only home for a holiday but am back for good...

Don't get my results for another couple of weeks but not too worried what at the moment I get as long as I pass all my modules

I know I should have tried harder but I've had the most amazing 3 years, got invaluable experience working with animals and made the best friends :D

The plan is to spend the summer doing casual work at the theatre, festivals and of course chickens, am going away for a few weeks then apply for 'real' (full time) jobs in September... Although the appeal of travelling is increasing, especially if I can travel and work at the same time!

I've been coming on here for 6 years (and 6 days!) and feel like I've grown up with everyone here so thought I should share :D

Sounds as though you have a fun summer to look forward to. I hope you hear good news for all your modules soon.

I think that's part of what going to university is all about. I finished uni over 25 years ago and have many happy memories (and a number of embarrassing ones!) and I am still in touch with friends made there.

Hope it won't be long before you are in a 'real' job!

 did we just pass through a time warp?

Well done Lewis, sounds like you have made the most of uni life. :D

My ED is just finishing her first year at Bristol, I don't know where that has gone either, and she has had a great time her life is already so different with new hobbies and good friends.

Best of luck with what ever the future holds, you strike me as someone who has a positive outlook and could turn your hand to most things

Wow Lewis, I can't believe you're finished already. I'm really pleased you had a wonderful time at uni as well as working, it's important to do both. I'm sure you will be successful in whatever you go on to do, you have a lovely attitude.

It's odd how quickly time seems to pass. I've now finished 2nd year at Birmingham and start placement towards the end of August...Don't really know where my 2nd year went-it was one deadline after the next after the next. I find pout my 2nd year results on Friday, eep...

I remember how excited you were to be heading off to Aber and I'm glad you've enjoyed your time there. I remember my sister graduating there six years ago, and have to pinch myself that it really was that long ago, as she's nearly finished her 5th year of primary teaching having gone on to do a PGCE straight after her degree.

Good Luck Lewis!

I can't believe it's been 3 years ... where did that go? As said above, the time spent at university is not just about getting a degree, it's about making friends, learning new skills, developing interests and loads of other stuff as well - it really sounds as if you've made the most of it. Good luck with job-hunting, but enjoy a break first.

I hate it when those young whippersnappers make me feel old! :P All those years flying by sooo quickly. So many of you were on here when you were soooo young - and even then knew so much more than I did! But you have taught me so much Lewis in that time and I'm so grateful. I think the best I will always remember you is being at Redders field covered in lambs that adored you. So I do hope you have a degree after working and all that playing, because you are a junior Dr Dolittle to me!

*big hugs*
