soapdragon
Really, I do! In spite of joking that I got them simmering back in June ready for Christmas I actually DO LIKE them! Mind you, they have to be slightly soggy. not crispy but I love a plate of them drizzled with marmite and sprinkled with cheese! Am I an oddity (no surprise if the answer is YES ) but surely I can't be the only one!?
chuckmum6
Me too now, I like them especially with lardons and chestnuts! My YS loves them, so does OH, but they do come with an unpleasant side effect that I don't like!

bluekarin
I love sprouts too Especially boiled until just tender and then tossed with some of the crisp bacon off the turkey chopped up and a good dash of lime juice mmmm They were also a hit a few years ago when I shredded them very finely and cooked them briefly with a bit of butter and seasoning if I remember correctly. The kids ate tons! Sprouts with cheese and marmite doesn't float my boat though

Egluntyne
How disgusting! Time to get them simmering if you are serving them on Christmas Day.
Ain't Nobody Here
I love them too - so there . And my veg-averse 19 year old likes them too!
chickencam
We all like them here, in fact they are pretty much our favourite veg, cooked until just tender 7-8 minutes not slit, so no sogginess, they are so yummy, have to agree about the windy side affects but hey who cares. We bought a massive five kilo bag of them a few weeks back, took us less than a week to eat them all, there were five of us for the first meal but only four after that, so we ate lots each. So good for you too, although I did read somewhere that they affect the absorption of iodine, so not so good for people with under active thyroid, like me, but I am prepared to take the risk. I think that's it but it has something to do with iodine.
counturchickens
Love em! Just boil them though.

Blackrocksrock
Another lover of sprouts here - when I have left over veg and roast potatoes, sprouts, parsnips etc at xmas I chop them all up and make a cheese souffle and add the veg before throwing into the oven - its fab! Bramble
I like sprouts too They are also REALLY nice raw - quite a few get eaten as I'm peeling and they're lovely chopped up raw in salads

Grandmashazzie
Don't mind them, but for me the side effects far outweigh the eating.Especially when you have houseful of visitors.son-in-law ,daughter-in-law etc
yvonne
YUM ! I love them, boiled but still a bit crunchy. Have converted my reluctant OH whose mother (like mine) used to boil them for ages and produce a soggy mess.
WitchHazel
Growing up we had frozen sprouts (cooked, obviously), which were vile and had a really metallic taste. It put me off sprouts completely. Some years ago I started making myself re-try things I'd always hated. Frozen spouts remain on the hated list, but I was surprised that fresh sprouts, lightly steamed then tossed in butter, are a revelation. I love them. Egzandra
We like sprouts as well, bought on the stalk. It's strange because sometimes they cause the side effects and sometimes they don't. I haven't worked out what I did in the cooking to make them not cause gas those times. I do remember having them as part of my wedding reception meal, which was NOT a good idea! sadietoo
We all love them here too....in fact when asked aged 4 what her favourite vegetable was my daughter would always say sprouts We cut ours in half and drop them in boiling salted water (can't remember who suggests this Rose Elliot I think) so they cook doubly quick...four mins max for no sogginess inside or out! Yum !
