Lesley Posted December 12, 2009 Author Share Posted December 12, 2009 We have two helpers staying with us so we've had a sausage making day.......... 14 packs of 8 sausages for the freezer 2 dozen cocktail sausages for Christmas Day 12 sausage patties for tonight Home meade Baked Beans.......just chips to make now! I used a 1lb of flour to 6ozs Cookeen & 6ozs Anchor butter & some ice cold water for the pastry - very naughty, but devine. I also made a steak pie & some proper chippy style mushy peas from dried peas. Can someone tell me, why you soak them in Sodium carbonate tablet & water?
