Snowy
The eglu arrived yesterday so the Pekins were moved in. Lovely splash of colour in the garden again! Went out to check up on them this morning - erm ... where are they? So THATS what that bowl shaped thing is for - a Pekin Huddle! It was obviously so nice and cosy that they decided to have a lie in! Don't they look miffed at being disturbed?

Snowy
They are 20 - 23 weeks now Emma, all grown up (but not laying yet. Thats a point - when do pekins generally start laying? Am I likely to get eggs for christmas, or is it likely to be spring now?) Fluffy Chick - I know!

Happily
gorgeous girls ours all went broody this summer so wouldn't surprise me if they are practising already with regards to laying we got ours in the June at 12 weeks and they didn't start laying until the January and then we have had eggs non stop ever since. They lay every other day, although sometimes one of them lays everyday. The eggs are surprisingly bigger than you think!
