Valkyrie
Zero on the thermo, snow stopped ages ago and everywhere is dripping. We can see parts of the pathway now and a little of our driveway.
Egluntyne
Snowing lightly here.....but when I went out a few moments ago to check the hen's water, it was largely unfrozen. Positively tropical.
Old Speckled Hen
Sun and clouds and 2 degrees. Some snow has disappeared from the fields and our lane is clear. No frost predicted tonight so might risk turning greenhouse heater off.
Valkyrie
I think our outside thermo is fibbing big time! It must be warmer than 0 because of all the wet.
chelsea
It has snowed here all day since 9am, but it's very light and nothing like we the stuff we got on Wednesday.
Helly Welly
Still snowing and thawing simultaneously here
The Dogmother
It has been thawing here, but the snow is by no means gone. It has tried to snow lightly on and off all day but without much actually sticking. Around 1-2deg here all day; much warmer.
chelsea
Saw the forecast on Countryfile - we're not out of the woods yet. Some areas prone to more snow all week, looks like we're going to get a good dusting Tue/Wed.
Space Chick
Snowing but not sticking here.
chickencam
We have had some snow showers today, but a melt too, about half of the snow has now melted. All of my children are at school tomorrow but ED's school is only open for yr 10 upwards. 1.5 degrees here at the moment shame about the wind, still feels pretty nippy. OH did the chook cleaning today and gave their run a good dig over we couldn't get a fork into it a couple of days ago and it was very yucky. Glad I am not a hen. Valkyrie
Went to put the little ones in the cube but it felt really mild - still dripping and melting at 6.30 even with the odd little snow flurry session. At the moment it's been snowing and all the clear paths have a covering of white again.
Lewis
Its snowing! Our road is covered in snow, I didn't know it was snowing, looked out of the spare room window and its really thick ... well ... for us, not 14inches! Wonders wether school will be on? Might have to go in for revision anyway
Egluntyne
Another heavy blanket of snow overnight here too. The road outside, which is a busy A road, is completely white. So much for prioritising main routes.
jlo
A couple of centimetres overnight OH is going to try and drive his car inb today. It is the most inappropriate car for the snow - rear wheel drive and really low to the ground. Just hope he's ok!
Seagazer
We've had more snow overnight too, not a massive amount though but everywhere is white again
Old Speckled Hen
No more snow overnight and 2° forecast for the day so fingers crossed some of it will thaw.
Ain't Nobody Here
We had a tiny bit of a thaw yesterday. There's some black stuff on the road now - had forgotten that the road was supposed to be black .
Alis girls
starting to thaw yesterday then more overnight and road outside not gritted. it is soft underfoot though.
bellekatz
Thankfully no more overnight and was above freezing all day yesterday though not much seems to have disappeared. DD has gone in for her AS level modules today. Bioler has behaved itself for 2 whole days now is has been so warm!!!
Patricia W
We've got a covering of new snow, very slippy, but warmer. If it freezes again it will be even more lethal.
Omletina Kyckling
I'm at my mum and dad's for a long weekend, in the Pennines up above Huddersfield and we've had lots of snow overnight and it's still snowing. I'm supposed to be heading home tomorrow but think that might end up being somewhat postponed.....I am getting very well looked after though and the heating is on turbo mode, so it's not a bad place to be snowed in...... Patricia W
All roads around me ( Abingdon, Didcot and as far as Banbury according to local radio ) are grid-locked. Seems to be a combination of all schools and work back and very slippy conditions!
chickencam
We had 1cm of wet snow overnight which has melted pretty quickly on paths that had been cleared but has added to the lying snow. Still very cold and dull odd snow flurries forecast. I am making a steak and kidney pudding for tea, I consider it to be my duty to provide weather appropriate food
Helly Welly
A very light flurry is currently falling here but it's not adding anything. We are currently half-melted and it didn't freeze overnight so it's not too slippery. Looks like we might get some more snow tomorrow but i've given up believing the weather reportrs at the moment
Gem_Seb
Grid locked here as well today!! what is normally a 15 min drive to work for me took over an hour this morning!! heavy snow forecast for tongiht as well.... OH has managed to get the van out for work for the first time in a week! good timing as we were getting very worried about being able to pay the bills at the end of the month! (hes self employed so earnt hardly any moneey since xmas!!!)
