How did you think of a user name?

Recommended Posts

I wish I'd thought harder about mine! My girls and cube were a present for my birthday/Christmas (from all my extended family I might add, not got a millionaire hubby!) so I was wishing everyone Happy Chickens! Not my best idea ever, but didn't realise would still be using forum all this time later and am too lazy/unimaginative to think of anything different. I love many of your ideas.

I used to have a bantam called Redwing when I was a child - I think that was probably named after the horse sanctuary Redwings

Was wondering if Redwings had anything to do with it.. Me and a friend raised £275 over three months for the charity, hoping to get the same over my BHWT charity quest! ;D

Sorry mine is so boring as I can never think of good user names and even if I did I'd never remember it.

I'm Catherine (and well into adultdhood) but I have grown up never having my name shortened or having a nickname. My parents refused to allow my name to be shortened to the extent that if someone called for Cathy they would say no one here of that name!!!

However I look back very fondly on one college friend who always referred to me as CatieB.

Maybe now I use the forum more I should think of something better, particularly as people assume I'm called Catie.

Mine was originally a family nickname - but I changed it so that my folks couldn't check up on me (I'm no teenager and my age is a pretty good score in cricket - but not a century yet!). It now reflects a passion for Norse mythology that I had in my youth. Well that and the desire to strike down my OH in the battlefield from time to time!

I used the same moniker I've used on some other forums. For the first in that chain, I settled on this one because Bluebottle was taken.

I did not pick it because of any military background (I have none), and I did not pick it because of any inherent flatulence (that's a coincidence  ). Anyone who understands my explanation should speak up here and now, 'cos we'll get along famously.
