Chook n Boo Mum
Mum is the 18th, Niece the 29th, Brother the 31st and Gran the 5th of January! It is hard enough thinking of Christmas pressies, let alone Birthday all around the same time DD is 24th November, my sis is 5th Dec, DH is 8th, Christmas obviously is somewhere in December , I'm 29th Dec, DS is 12th Jan........plus a smattering of close friends between DH & 25th..............7 weeks and our immediate family is all over as far as birthdays are concerned.and bankrupt
craftyhunnypie
My sister is having a C section somewhere around New Year! She had a 4D scan last week - wow - baby girl is going to be beautiful! The Dogmother
It's someone who acts as a birth partner and stays to help the mother in the first few days/weeks after the birth. They are usually qualified as a midwife.

craftyhunnypie
Noooooo way! Not into that stuff, can you tell? I don't do babies when they are 'flat' either. Now when they're not floppy & can sit up & burble then I like them. My sister thought I would have to help her with her first - but thank god I didn't. Bit more difficult now, with me living 100+ miles away. Phew! Anyway back to Christmas...... Emma.x

Christian
In Frankfurt at the moment and have gone a bit mad. The 'Company' have recently introduced a 2 bag maximum for crew and, well, I don't think that is going to be achieved at 5am tomorrow. The chocolate Father Christmasses (sp), all the biscuits, stollen and other bits I have bought are stunning and too good to resist......Oh and a few cyclamen and heucheras were too cheap to refuse......Oh well! The stockings for niece and nephew are filling nicely. Just the main pressies to buy now! Only 46 sleeps 'til Father Christmas!

Olly
Yup - saw my first Christmas tree (in the City of London) yesterday. Now, much as I love this thread and all the planning, it still feels a little bit early to have decorations up. I am going to get my box of cards out of the loft tonight though. So far my plans are going very well, I'm determined not to spend most of December feeling stressed, I want to really enjoy it this year and I am well ahead of schedule. It won't last! Christian, I am very - always wanted to go to a proper Christmas market.

craftyhunnypie
Oh Plum, I wish you lived near me. You're my sort of person! Christian, I am sooooo envious. I just love Xmas markets. Any pictures of the wares for sale there? Just to make us all even more jealous. Emma.x
chickencam
I took my DS to the orthodontists at lunchtime, they had a tree just inside the door which I almost walked into. She said that they were very late putting it up last year, but may have been a bit keen this year
Griffin
I've run out of wrapping paper this morning. As I refuse to use Mr Griffins Disney Princesses paper the others presents will have to wait I can hardly wait until I get to buy our tree
Cinnamon
Our tree is on order,& I got a few nice baubles in M&S today for it. Anyone with daughters, there is a great selection of gorgeous winter hats in River Island. Some very cute & fun ones.....I got Cleo a knitted beanie like a strawberry....it is just adorable. There is an especially lovely fox one in fake fur, with little pointy foxy ears too.

I already have a koala hat, a werewolf hat and a lion hat but a furry one with pointy ears would be AMAZING! My koala hat is the most popular when I wear it to take Georgia to school, so much so that I've bought her teacher one for Christmas. craftyhunnypie
Not sure about the fox hat - only coz they eat chickens. However, I loooove the strawberry & the tiger one is cute too. There is a shop in Aber near the Sea front that sells loads of animal hats! I got a Panda bobble hat & mitten for my birthday. Love them! The Dogmother
I'll let Rosie know, she's at a loss as to what to get her friend for a birthday present.
LolaLayla
Some present buying done. Don't you hate it when you buy something then see it cheaper elsewhere It was not that much more extra, so more hassle than it is worth to change, just annoying
Lavenders_Blue
I've bought a couple more presents. That's two of my 7 nephews sorted now And I'm even being really organised and wrapping pressies as I go. I'm liking this being organised malarkey, I wish I'd discovered it years ago! Beaky
Those things that let you make square eggs must be available fairly commonly in the UK now right? Absolutely cracking little stocking filler, won't please the purists but serious novelty value! I love Christmas, but I think it is going to get brutally cold! - Which is why I just booked for the spring!
